Our Liaison Officer Kamil Chishty from Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College in collaboration with the Continuing Education Committee successfully organised a Crown Preparation Workshop on 10th June, 2023 at Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College.
The workshop was expertly facilitated by Dr. Agha Suhail Khan, Associate Professor Dept of Operative Dentistry and our esteemed chief instructor for the event, whose knowledge and guidance made a lasting impact on all attendees. The certificate and shield distribution ceremony was conducted and overseen by the Dean of the dental college and the chief guest of the event, Prof. Col. Dr. Iffat Batool.
The intricacies of crown preparations were explored, revealing advanced techniques and refining skills for delivering exceptional dental care. The workshop's resounding success was a result of the unwavering dedication and enthusiasm shown by all participants!
Crown Preparation workshop was organized by APDSA Pakistan at CMH Lahore, Institute of Dentistry. Dr Muhammed Afzal was the speaker and Instructor of the event. The aim of the workshop was to make our dental students more knowledgeable about the preparation of crown and to enhance their confidence and skills. 25 Dental students from various colleges of Lahore attended the activity. Humayun Dental Supplies sponsored the event.
Kinza Ghauri, Local Liaison Officer of Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences (SIOHS), Member college of APDSA Pakistan, conducted a workshop on “FIRST RESPONSE” in collaboration with First Response Initiative of Pakistan(FRIPS). This workshop was organized with the purpose of empowering dental students with the skills needed to save a life as first responders.
SMILES FOR EVERYONE WORKSHOP
The Asia-Pacific Dental Students Association - Pakistan Division, in collaboration with HITEC IMS Dental College, organized a workshop on "Composite Filling in Aesthetic Zones with Putty Impression Technique" on April 10, 2023. The workshop was led by Maarij Saeed, Associate Continuing Education Committee, with Dr. Aniqa Liaison Officer and her team. Participants from HITEC IMS Dental College and Islamic International Dental College took part in the workshop.
The workshop began with a presentation by Professor Dr. Beenish Qureshi, Head of Operative Dentistry. It was followed by a demonstration on phantom heads by Assistant Professor Dr. Sharaz Ahmed, and hands-on practice by the participants facilitated by Assistant Professor Dr. Amna Riaz and Senior Dr. Hamza Ulfat from the Operative Department.
The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge and usage of the putty index for aesthetic restoration and to help young students and dentists gain confidence in preparing it. The workshop concluded with remarks from the principal, distribution of shields among the facilitators, and certificates presented to the participant
