APDSA is the Student body /brainchild of the Asia Pacific Dental Federation (APDF/APRO FDI) which was established in 1968 in Japan, having its first Annual Congress in 1969.

Its members are composed of dental schools in the Asia Pacific region.

Currently consisting of 17 member countries, APDSA has partnerships with various student organizations in the region.
