APDSA PAKISTAN - Annual Dental Conference

APDSA Pakistan is a national chapter of the Asia Pacific Dental Students Association, committed to empowering dental students through international collaboration, academic enrichment, and professional development. By connecting students with a broader network across the Asia-Pacific region, APDSA opens doors to global perspectives in dentistry. One of its most impactful initiatives is the Annual Dental Conference, which serves as a high-impact platform for Pakistani dental students to engage with world-class speakers, attend hands-on workshops, present research, and build lasting connections with peers and professionals worldwide. These conferences not only enhance clinical and academic knowledge but also inspire leadership, innovation, and a forward-thinking mindset, preparing the next generation of dentists in Pakistan to thrive on a global stage.

Every year APDSA Pakistan organizes an Annual Dental Conference in one of the citites of Pakistan. In 2022 it was held at CMH LMC And IOD Lahore. In 2023 it was held at DOW Medical And Dental College Karachi. This year (2025) it was held at HITEC-IMS Taxila with the name of SMILECON'25

APDSA Pakistan Division held its First Annual Dental Conference from 29th July to 31st July 2022. APDSA International Annual Congress is an annual event that brings together dental students from APDSA member nations within the Asia Pacific region With the same motto APDSA International encourages its division to hold an Annual Dental Conference once every year to bring together dental students nationally and to develop connections with them to let them grow and learn dentistry together and work for the betterment of humanity.

To carry on this enthusiasm, APDSA Pakistan Division had its First Annual Conference in July 2022. Dental professionals came together to help each other bloom in dentistry. Students were able to create networks with other dentists ,strategic partners and service providers. Young minds learned and discussed key news and challenges with senior level speakers of the dental profession, while also engaging in high-level debates and refining of ideas.

APDSA International Annual Congress is an annual event that brings together dental students from APDSA member nations within the Asia Pacific region With the same motto APDSA International encourages its division to hold an Annual Dental Conference once every year to bring together dental students nationally and to develop connections with them to let them grow and learn dentistry together and work for the betterment of humanity.

SmileCon’25 Dental Summit – A Celebration of Knowledge, Innovation, and Student Leadership

Organized by APDSA Pakistan | Hosted at HITEC-IMS, Taxila | May 22, 2025

The SmileCon’25 Dental Summit, organized by the Asia Pacific Dental Students Association (APDSA) Pakistan, was held with great success at Dental College, HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences (HITEC-IMS), Taxila, on May 22, 2025. As a flagship national gathering for dental students, the one-day summit brought together over 400 participants from across Pakistan, including students, educators, clinicians, and innovators, for a vibrant exchange of academic and professional insight.

The event opened with a formal ceremony featuring welcome addresses from; Prof. Dr. Irfan Shah, Principal of HITEC-IMS, underscored the importance of academic platforms in shaping future dental leaders. Dr. Arsal Subah Sadiq, Chairperson and Founder of APDSA Pakistan, highlighted the association’s regional impact and the significance of student empowerment in dentistry. Dr. Maarij Saeed Rao, President of APDSA Pakistan and Head Organizer of SmileCon’25, spoke about the summit’s vision, a platform designed by dental students, for dental students, aiming to foster leadership, clinical excellence, and collaboration across institutions.
